humpback Whale

had to show you all this, as it is the best thing we have seen for a long time, was amazing -- we see allot of Minke Whales and dolphins and lots of other things, but this was worth the £700 for the new digital camera....

(this is the 1st photo i have posted, so hope it appears.............)

How the hell did you manage to get that shot ?

I would have thought that even if you had the camera in your hand by the time you raised it to your eye and focused all you would get is a splash.

Did it keep doing it and you just waited for the next jump or is it a still from a video.

Took me ages to get a few good Dolphin shots and they were jumping all the time.

Thats just a great picture.

Cheers for the good comments -- the camera i bought takes 4 frames a second -- is the bollocks -- self focus all that carry on -- i nearly threw my last one over the side cos it had such long 'shutter lag' i was told.

Def in skye, is the 1st humpback to be seen here on record.
It jumped and played around us, under the boat, was great.........

have tried to upload a better quality picture -- dunno if it worked or not?

had 12 very happy passengers aboard - will upload a better quality one on the website, over the weekend -------

Once while seakayaking off N.Ireland photographing seals, a basking shark came along side me.

I was too bloody scared to photograph it....could'nt take my hands of my paddle!!!!
