the destroyers are superb!! my humber was probally a one off, as i picked it up,it wasnt finished, no appology or handover atall, when i got home, the rubbing strake was coming off, 3 days later the handle was peeling away, 3 weeks later, all the handles had come off, consol cracking, rubbing strake all over the boat coming away, rear near side tube leaking!! the list goes on and on!! no back up what so ever,, i had heard they employed cheap overseas labour,!! hmmm, i had to sell it very quickly,
i had a single consol with 2 fuel tanks underneath! extremley difficult to re fill the tank, with out taking them out!!

No back up ??

Surely there was a guarantee on a new boat , doesn't sound too good at all .

Overseas labour , looks like we have lots more of that to look forward to,

You mean people from Lincolnshire ! I know exactly what you mean, they are only good for picking spuds.

I agree on the fuel tanks we only fit 92litre tanks in console.

Shame about your other probs, I'm sure Sue or Andy would be quick to put anything right.

What speed did your do? The 5.5 Destroyer with 75hp is pulling 43 mph which i find great for a 75hp.

No they aren't and no it wasn't it is cheap for a reason and mine is sh**e too. I got the "We have built 10,000 boats in the last 50 years" story last time round and right now I feel like going back to that email and replying with an "about time you learned to build them properly then huh?"

Great pics Jono, but if you have 2 Destroyers you must be a glutton for punishment!

Have a look at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEBI%3AIT&rd=1 humber, its my mates, its late 80's / early 90's and it is mint, the tubes are as good as most boates that are a year old, you wouldnt see many sea riders that are as good condition as this.

Like anything new you get the odd bad one.

i got that story too, weve been building boats for 4000 years too!!! ha ha , actually i said to sue,!! no your dad has!!! she said ,, "we've never ever had any problems"!! i said the fuel tank system and build quality is appalling!! she said "your the first unhappy customer weve had"
i picked my boat up and there were no straps to hold it down,, Sue said "no one has asked for them before" and "there is nothing wrong with that system" the glue to hold it together was a mixture of Butter and Margarine!!!
