I was told that American Harry Schoell designed the boat and the owners were imprisoned for selling boats to people that derived funds from illicit means.

These boats were definitely molded boats. The only question is where are the molds. One would think that they are hard to hide.

A prison sentence was given to one, but suspended. This counts as a criminal record. Another spent some time in Jail, but received no sentence. They hardly covered themselves in glory.

Wow, chilling*! I wonder did the other suppliers of equipment get a grilling too? They seemed to use Yamaha outboards and I heard a rumour that they had been fitting inboards paired with Arneson Surface Drives towards the end. They must have been in receipt of even larger amounts of the smuggler's money!

no the outboard was genuine . But it was a bit concerning when you get court orders to supply copies of all invoices complete with proof of method of payment that you have to comply with in a very short period of time (less than a week). My wife spent two days searching and copying all of the invoices and bank statements from 2002 until 2010 that had anything to do with crompton derived hulls and all just before xmas in time for a january interview at Torquay police station .interview lasted approx 6 hrs and afterwards conclude that I had done nothing illegal

So this 60' boat was build cold mold style you are saying? Wasn't there two of these boats built? I was thinking it would make a great boat with Diesels and Arnesons with a better designed cockpit.

If you want a 60' RIB I'm sure we could knock something up for you!

Do you work for Arneson, or have some other connection with the company? Looking back over your previous posts you do seen to be very keen on them!
