"Gusty" days sailing

Must admit it's fun chasing these "saily things "around.
Looks good fun with a strong breeze
Caught a variety of boats taking advantage of the great conditions.

Funny though, on the launch ramp I saw them inflating what I thought was a RIB pontoon boat. Turns out to be a floating advertising rig. The tubes support mesh signs which I suppose tours the bay. I returned after 3 hours shooting and they still hadn't got i finished.Oh well maybe by next week ,I will have a chance to photograph the finished "craft".

My photographic exhibit is up and running at the Martime museum ,with 30 framed prints on display. Is actually onboard the "Star of India" (build in the UK ) on the lower deck,so pretty chuffed at the moment All shot from my RIB . Any interested parties can check them out at
http://www.printroom.com/EditGallery...lery_id=666297

(Don't be too critical; it's my first attempt )

cheers Dal

I needed a password to follow that link so I could not see the photos

Anyway, I was only looking to check if you had any photos of the seal lions in there and ask why not if I didn't see them!!

Is that *the* Stars and Stripes, of Americas Cup fame?

If it was as windy as it looked from the blow boats, it's probably a good thing they didn't get that floating billboard thing inflated. I could see it tumbling along across the bay, taking out jetskiers as it rolled along...

And, yes, the photo link apparently requires a subscription or something.

Thanks for the photo's, though;

jky

OOps ,sorry about the link.
Just go to www.bayshots.com
then view photos. click on the RIB animation and it takes you to the photo galleries.
Look towards the bottom and look for the museum collection.

JKY the Stars and Stripes is of Americas cup fame.
However there have been several named that I believe (you think they could come up with something more original )
In fact we have 2 "Stars & Stripes" Americas cup boats in San Diego bay alone!
Oh and Peter, no sealions! but did throw a heron in there for you
cheers Dal

Hey, I know those guys on the USA 14 49er! Skipper is Tim Wadlow, who lives two towns away, in Beverly, MA, his teammate is Chris Rast, who has been coaching my wife in her Paralympic sailing campaign. Tim finished 7th in the Athens Olympics in that boat. They're one of the 2 best US 49er teams that'll be duking it out to go to the Bejing games (Qingdo, actually where sailing will be).

Go Tim & Chris!
