Greetings all the way from South Africa

Been browsing the forums for a while, and thought it's time I make my first post [emoji2]

So I recently purchased a 4.6m rib. No motor or console etc.

First thing done, was grinded and repainted the deck.

Original deck:

Next stop, building the consol

Never worked with fibreglass before, so after many tutorial vids, decided to make a one off mould using dry wall material (aka rhino board in this part of the world)

The joins were filled and smoothened:

Applied polish to and buffed the mould (dry wall material) about 5 times hoping that the fibreglass would not adhere after curing.

Then applied resin and 5 layers of 450 chop strand matting

Sanded that down once it cured and removed the mould. Didnt slide off. Had to break off pieces but that came off with not much effort

Hatches and helm inspection holes cut, excess glass trimmed and console sanded down. Was impatient to see what it would look like on the boat:

That's where I'm at currently. Will post new images when I make more progress
