Why do they play music on these clips? I'd rather hear the engines roaring and barking, the water sizzling and the boat thumping and crashing.

I suspect either (a) it doesn't have a sound track recorded - e.g. no microphone set up OR (b) if they are filmed from a chopper then all you will hear is the wind on the mic / chopper engines.

Here ya go Codprawn, google Abeille Flandre and you'll see some more pics of that tug in the rough water. Pic taken from www.netmarine.net.

I agree JW, there'd be a nice sound down in that engine room with the big turbos blowing
May get some video/sound off our tug at work tomorrow if we use it - 4cyl blackstone diesel engine.

edit: said engines and turbos on that tug - http://www.ville-dinard.fr/snsm/4-au...E/44240027.jpg - nice
and... for those of you with Virtual Sailor, you can download her as well - http://www.virtual-sailor.net/links/...aycat&catid=28

Well found. Would love to see your videos Alex - just love big engines!!!

That Froggy tug is pretty powerful - over 12,000hp.

Yes it is USUALLY nicer to hear the background noise but in this case the music fits the scene perfectly - well done for finding the track Jimbo - it's great - hadn't heard of them before - very Clannad like.

I love that track. Its been used in a couple of adverts now. One was for some airline and the other was for a bank. You might remember the bank one - it had a boy diving down to get a perl from the seabed.

yeah I love that piece too - the bloke in the top left picture looks like Jazz man off of the Fastshow though

did he do that epic song used in the film gladiator too? sounds his style (the bit at the end when he dies)
