No, I think you're thinking of Enya - Now We Are Free. Don't think Adiemus were on the Gladiator Soundtrack.

This one?

Whoops, posted the wrong answer to your question - didn't know which one you were thinking of!

yesss Probably the most amazing piece of music I can think of. I heard it at Olympia last week at the FIA world dressage qualifiers and it sent a shiver down my spine even whilst watching a horse and a bloke prance around to it ... lol

This is interesting ... not so much the outside view but the one looking down the internal corridor at how much the hull is flexing

The really great thing about Enya's music, is that you only ever need to buy one CD since it all sounds pretty much the same. It does suit this video to a "T" admittedly. I ski a fair bit in the Rockies, usually with tunes playing in my lid. It's funny how you associate certain music with certain activities. Dave Mathews Band = Skiing. Now Enya = "slo-mow" big mother waves!

That Froggy tug is pretty powerful - over 12,000hp.

Yes it is USUALLY nicer to hear the background noise but in this case the music fits the scene perfectly - well done for finding the track Jimbo - it's great - hadn't heard of them before - very Clannad like.

Sorry, no engine sound on that one cos the mic was in the wheelhouse with me unfortunately, and I haven't worked out how to bleep people out yet

It's not exactly the same as towing alongside which is sometimes better, but in this case we set 4 lines aft - 2 over the hook which stops our stern from going from side to side, and then there are 2 longer lines which go from our midships point to the midships bollards on the tow. To ensure they're as tight as possible, I move our boat over a few degrees so the slack is taken up and then the same is applied on the otherside. Even when they look tight here, as the strain is taken you always get some extra slack whether you like it or not. Some of the other tugs on the haven have flashy hydraulic winches with steel cable which holds things nice and rigid.
The trick is just to make a nice and long boat and to minimise the twisting between the two craft which allows for better steerage. Since the tug I drive in this is a voith, we can correct the course of the tow very easily and efficiently with minimal effort and power. This job was completed at about 30% power on the revs, with probably max 60% thrust through the voith - add a good wind into that and you don't really have to apply much more, just plan ahead better and use the weights of the two craft to help you out

Currently on 56k (well, it would be if BT hadn't put this line on dacs ) after an electric storm took out the phoneline that has the adsl on it. When it comes back (in a week or so according to BT) I'll get some more vids done, including the 2006 year video.

Nice quality video and nice music but it wasn't very rough - how about something in a Force8+???

ADSL lines seem to go down quite a lot in West Wales - we get loads of callouts - sometimes they even take out the motherboard - makes you realise why you should NEVER use a landline in a thunderstorm!!!

Phone lines in West Wales are pants. Dunno how many times me and my neighbours have had the BT engineers out to sort out problems on the line going up our valley, and they never sort it out. Always having problems with the broadband, and everytime we have thunderstorms, our line is always hit.

You find most round bilge boats are like that - especially when they have high superstructure - there's nothing worse than most lifeboats!!!

Has he actually owned one himself? As you say - buying one isn't the problem - it's keeping the rust at bay that hurts!!! Be cheaper on fuel than my RIB though.....
