From your side of the pond eh?

Saw this big cruiser in Burnham Harbor Chicago today. Flying a Brit flag, with a RIB, a ski boat, and a heli on the back. Pretty impressive. I think she is called 'Turmoil' anyone know who owns her.

Just found some info
TURMOIL
151'0" 1996 A successful clothing retailer has had this blue-hulled beauty on the go so much over the past five years—she was in the Arctic this summer—that essentially the only time she’s sat still was during refueling. Turmoil was the first purpose-built expedition-style yacht of the 1990s, a style that’s still quite popular.

TURMOIL has been spending some six weeks in our port this summer and last summer very well kept yacht and always shiny and the crew cleaning and polishing her all the time. The helicopter was not on board this summer.

That is awesome - what a way to live!!!

I was quite suprised when I went to Barcelona harbour and noticed all the Mega Yachts were British - suprising how much money there is lurking in Britain - just wish some more of it would come my way!!!

There is a good looking large cruiser that comes into Poole harbour every summer, someone has posted a picky on here before, I am told that it is 180ft but it looks smaller than TURMOIL, perhaps it is the layout on TURMOIL that makes it appear larger

What are you complaining about!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have just spent at least 45.000 quid on a boat, money means nothing, its more the ability to create it that's really intersting, not the fact of having it.... "what does it profit a man to have the world and loose his soul."
So you buy a boat, a house, an aston- martin - but does it make you happy??? Best to give it away... that makes you happy?????

Come off it Poly- show a happy rich man who has money- aint seen one yet?

Bill Gates comes close to it--- even when his 'vista" system seems to have invented new problems. By the way, notice to everybody - keep off beta IE 7
-its very, very Beta. And if you want to go back to IE6 - you are in deep shit.

I wasn't planning to keep it - rather to spend it! You can get all philisophical if you want - but I have to say that I don't think having more money would make me any less happy - and it certainly has the potential to make me happier.
