Force 11 (up to 120 kms/hour winds) in Greece

At the begining of this week I said about the very bad weather we had in Greece.

Here are few photos (which for people who may know the area show the severity of the situation

1st the Port of Lavrion (North break water)

Manos, what you call a Force 11 in Greece is called a slight chop here in Torbay.
Goodness knows what they call it around Cape Wrath.

Hi Brian

I studied in Plymouth (for 5 years) and I have been around Torquay a few times. I also live in the UK and I know about the weather and I agree with you.
However, force 11 in Greece is something unheard of and I thought that it worth mentioning

On the subject of bad weather do you know that it has been published by the Statistical Services that most casualties during the summer months involve BRITISH Tourist that try to sail the Aegean??
