Many thanks Nasher!

Sorry i didn't call....was busy at end of week and we christened the baby on Saturday and have had loads of family here as a result. Although we couldn't have asked for a better day weather wise....

Your solution looks great....the lack of glassing really appeals. Although oddly enough, my transom looks to be about the same height as yours (as per the pics) already!?!

I will post up a pic to show and will take some measurements etc. If i was to build mine up i would be looking to fill the recess completely with a flush run through.....the difference /build up would be circa 5 inches (hence why I'm looking to go from L to XL).

Hopefully the pics will explain better than my mail. Will post in next couple of days. Thanks again,

Dan

Dan

Hi.

My Engine is what I believe is called an Ultra Long Shaft at 25inches.

The Transom on my boat is higher at the sides becase of the enclosed transom.

Some more images

Some more images for Dan following our PMs.

As you can see she sits quite low in the water with the Suzi plus the Ali plate on the transom, but soon lifts up on the go.

For comparison have attached a pic (not the best) which shows that with the lightweight (120kg) Yam 90 my sponsons sit clear of the water (50 /60mm at rest).....you can just make out the gap in this pic....I know it's underway, but v slow.

I hadn't ever really paid much attention to other Ribs and how they sat at rest, but looking through pics, most /lots with bigger engines seem to have the sponsons resting in the water (at the rear) at rest..........Am going to do a test with additional weight when i get back from Poole....

have dropped you a PM....Thanks mate
