Aye she be a Dexta allreet .... fitted with a trendy alternator too .. maybeez spent too long in the muck on scraping duties .. what is it with the teuchters .. when it breaks,.. they just leave it in a field ? as to year and age, .. with so much tin gone, I'd need me forensic goggles on wouldnt say it was older than '61 from that angle though

Bet I could get it running before too long

"....after several successful series on CBBC, cuts in the licence fee forced the makers of "Brum" to utilise their existing props in the new childrens TV series about a lifeboat.... the series ceased filming after only one episode."

Lol

FWIW, it actually IS Ireland's most Northernly Tractor, located on Inishtrahull, where we wuz yesterday

As the island was abandoned c.1929 and controlled by the Commissioners of Irish Lights since, I must assume that the tractor, I mean, Tractuchter, is one of their old machines. Their current "ride" was spotted, shades of "The Prisoner" right there

Any guesses what a huge riveted barrel* (still holds water) in the ruined house might have been employed for? Hint, lots of pipes and tarps still lying close by...

All in all, a smashing wee island, good landing point and excellent camping.

'fraid not, it's about 4' across and there's no fuel on the island. Also, at 80 acres total, I doubt they had much livestock..., coupla coos and a wee pig maybe.

I think it's post abandonment, so either Lights related or well dodge...

steel or iron aint good for distilling, if its not a feed boiler it could be to collect water that runs off the hillside
