Ok now I understand!!!Have a weekend gaff in Kames about 2 mins from the excellent hotel of that name.BTW stayed in Smithy cottage, Tayvalloch in September.Wind blew a 6-7 up Loch Sween all week.My wee Avon 410 was useless!!! Now selling it at FYM and going back to a Destroyer 5.3!!! More suited for the Easdale cruise I think.

Very nice but I would say that. I was up then it was bad but not as bad as Oct. they've just had huge tides right up to the back of Smithy cot. My family have the Wee Barn next door. You'll be better off all round with your Destroyer. Hope to meet u at Easdale.
Cheers

No that was the brother in law's 5.5 Northcraft. Mine is on a mooring over at the carrick pier black& yellow Ribcraft 5.85 with 150 mariner V6. So you went out on the Carsaig side did you, quite right at that time as you can quickly go places without the long lop down the Loch which is ok in the summer.

Just headed down the loch into the gale!!It was pretty lumpy. The day we left it was flat calm and was able to have a blast in the 410!! Thats when I realised a bigger rib was needed.Hoping to bring the tent next time. Cheaper than Smithy Cottage and even closer to the pub!!!!Do you have a mooring that could be rented for a few beer vouchers?I think the pontoons get busy in the summer

Hi well I have a caravan on Leachive. Pontoons cost per night. You can run a slip mooring that will do. But if I have any family or friends moorings free I'll let you. Keep in touch.
