Farnes

Hi Doc, it has been a while since I have been out to the farnes.
I am missing my RIB even more now after seeing these pictures.
I hope to get out there soon.

From memory the pics look like the inner farnes; thae island where the bird wardens live?

Your right its the inner farnes. The wardens had just arrived for the season, they stay until September. Fantastic place and its a really nice run up the coast from Amble marina.

I normally launch from Beadnell. I have only launched from Amble once.

I am tempted to use Amble a bit more this season as it is half the drive / double the cruising!

Farnes

Hi, the wife daughter and I took our little Zodiac there a couple of years ago.
We launched from Knacker Hole in Beadnell and went over to take pictures of puffins.
The wardens were very friendly, it is a beautiful place even though the terns were dive bombing us and crapping on us.

Would love to go back and get some more pictures of puffins....maybe soon?!
