Dun Laoghaire To Arklow Windfarm

Took a spin today Katandra and Wizard, from Dun Laoghaire to the Arklow wind farm.
The weather was perfect, a bit cold but good and clear, these wind turbines are huge and , a real feat of engineering, lying across the Arklow bank

We ran with approx 200 ltrs of fuel, this includes 25l surface reserve, 35l hidden reserve and approx 145l in our underfloor tank, covered about 68 to 70 miles at average consumption of 1.36 ltr per mile.
The smart guages on the opti showed 93l fuel in total used, and we maintained a cruising speed of 28 kts

For a food stop, we stopped into Greystones harbour ,for some pub grub
