What do you get for the 37,000 & VAT? Just curious as I have a friend in the market for a new 6-6.5m RIB. Price seems kinda steep compared to UK prices though, however I could be wrong depending on the kit included?

Any pics of the XS/Tornado stand please??

Is it just me, or is there a distinct lack of humans in these pictures ?

Didn't notice the lack of Bods in the pics. Does look that way, I agree. It was very busy though the day I was there (Friday) and I believe the Wednesday was mobbed. No info on Saturday, but I guess being the weekend it would also be busy.

Because of the large entry of exhibitors this year, there was a massive tent (can't spell marquee ) as well as the main Simmonscourt hall. A big difference to the days when they only used half or two thirds of the hall. Long may it continue

Having looked at this company on their website it would appear that given the current rate of exchange , specification and performance that it would appear to be a bargain. Have you seen the prices of the other craft at the fair Tornado , Redbay for example, do you have any price comparisons for the same specification and ability ? I would be keen to see what one actually gets for this money from the others at the fair.Looking at the prices in the Uk for Parker from their importer and comparing say this model to other companys offerings it would appear that they are well poised price wise for the quality and specification.I am always keen to hear other points of view as I am currently looking for a new rib myself .I simply wish I could have made the show but I am afraid work dictated otherwise.

I have no show prices for Redbay/Tornado or any of the other similar show boats, ie: Ribcraft, Excalibur, etc. This is why I am asking in the hope that somebody will let us know what kind of prices are being advertised at the show.

The reason I think 44770 (37000 & VAT) is a bit steep is that I've been quoted 33500(inc. VAT) for a 6.5m Tornado w/150 Optimax (This includes all the usual kit: console, seating, Icom VHF, A-frame, double axle trailer, full set of covers, hydraulic steering, etc, etc.) To be fair the quote doesn't include a GPS Chartplotter/ Sounder so add 2000 to that price to budget for them. Also the quote wasn't a "show price".

So I suppose what I am asking is why should a prospective owner (my friend) buy a 6.3 Parker w/135 Opti instead of the 6.5 Tornado w/150 Opti.

I am trying to source the best package for my friend and would like to explore all options. Stuart, obviously I would not expect you to discuss quotations on a public forum so can you e-mail/PM me please?

Also how does the Parker compare to the Lencraft you had as my friend is trading up from a 6.5 intruder.

Brian for sure not. The fair was very well attended and the photos which I am just about to post were taken just before the vast crowd of boating fans were granted permission to enter the halls. If I had not taken my pictures when I had, I would have probably only had the backs of humans and somewhere bits and pieces of boats

It was a great show , well attended with lots and lots to see.

I enjoyed very much meeting fellow forum members Cork Rib, IanE, Tsunami, Powerboat. Look forward to seeing you again at Ribex
