Desktop Wallpapers

Does anybody else use a dual monitor setup on their PC - I do and one of the downsides to it is finding a good wallpaper to span both screens.

The over all resolution of my desktop is 2560 X 1024 pixels.

I'm looking from some good hi-res panoramas that can be used as desktop wallpapers for my computer - does any one have any (boating related are preferable - but ill consider anything)

Here are two I took a couple of weekends ago in Fowey. (click for full size) Help yourself to them if you like them.

Below is my desk to show what I'm talking about with a dual monitor setup (excuse the mess)

I use dual screen, but I have it set to Dual View so that windows treats the two monitors as separate displays, this enables me to use standard wallpapers and its repeated on both screens.

On another note, Whats the fastest spin on your powerball?

Wow Roy,

What do you use two screens for ?

Does each eye get one each ?

No seriously what can you do with two monitors. I've got a super duppa mega computer with 2 DVI's out but I can't think what to do with two displays. Could you enligthen me...

I use two at work, as i use remote desktop connect to servers, so i have one with my desktop and one with the server desktop... or i allways have mail open on one and work on the other.

Obviously I dont have two monitors showing the same thing - but I prefer to have a single desktop pan across the two monitors rather than the same image on both. to do this get yourself an image that exactly matches the combined res of the two screens together then chose the tile option in the position drop down - you now have a panoramic background spanning the two desktops.

fastest poerball spin was 13571 but that was back in January - its not in top condition anymore i cant get it much above 12000

Dual screen is great for work and web browsing.

Am am a fairly frantic PC user and im always doing like 20 things at once and i couldnt even use a pc without dual screen anymore.

When working it is great when you are using information from one application to work on another.

When web browsing its great i nearly always right click on links and select open in new window - especially when google searching - this way you can open up like the first 10 hits all at once from a google search without having to keep going back. I stick all the results on the other screen then go through them one by one - if i still not found what im looking for open up the next ten etc...

Its just great to be able to have more than one app at full screen all the time - to be honest i would have 3 or 4 screens if I had the desk space and a motherboard with dual PCI express graphicas cards.

Similar to Steve, I use dual screen at work set up so I can use remote desktop in one window and something else in the other - quite often another remote desktop if working between two servers at once.

Have had dual screen setup at work now for about 3 years and would be completely lost without it. When upgrading home PC earlier on this year, I had to get dual screen at home too - one thing which I struggle to find however are any games that use both screens

Thank you - true praise indeed when it comes from you Keith...

On the first picture I was taking it directly into the sun - is there anything i could have done to improve the contrast of the of the background if i had had a "proper" camera and stop it looking so washed out.

One last dual screen desktop seeing as no one else has offered up any...

I couldn't resist posting this one as its the best photo I've ever taken. I cant help but want to go out in the RIB when i look at this one as it was taken at the end of the best trip i ever had in my boat so far...

but you can paste these two together for a piccy of Balamory oopps Tobermory. Can supply the higher res versions if of any use.
