I was probably lucky when I purchased it as it turned out to be a very solid boat!
the reason for asking is that we were also stunned on the quality of the gelcoat and what beneath on ours and was wondering whether this was an exception...

I am no expert on the product - essentially it is a gelcoat with a wax hardener and in my opinion provides a very abrasion resistant surface; so hopefully it will last a long time! And please see the link to the info sheet for the suppliers that I used!

I am not sure what the norm is and I suppose it would depend on usage/exposure however, most of the Deltas I have seen recently and apart from owner inflicted damage the actual gelcoat appeared to be in good condition.

one other question - you added single seat pods. are they home made or did you get them from 'somewhere' ?

The pods came out of another rib, however, I cannot remember what make the craft was and they are slightly bigger than single pods (1 adult and one child can fit with comfort)

Hope this helps!

Very nice job, quality finish. There's another Delta (for sale) over on the west-coast, I personally prefer yours. Look at the freeboard in the picture with the Yammie 150hp? I'm assuming its been cut-down and they should have fitted an XL shaft?
