Hi Biggles, I will upload some for you tomorrow once I’ve sorted them all out - I have hundreds of pictures of sky.

Middle picture: Andy (Andy) and Ricky (Thorper) who will undoubtedly have some fantastic pictures.

Daniel, great pics. Unfortunately out of the 150 I took I messed up and under exposed them all. The ones I could salvage with photoshop are on the link below, however they are no way as clear as normal, just did not get the detail. Lets hope Ricky (Thorper) has some good ones also.

Either those planes were REALLY low or else you were in a chase aircraft - brilliant pics - really impressive - and I have taken commercial pics of aircraft in the past so like to think I am a good judge..............

Andy

If my memory serves me correctly you have a 100-400is and therefore I assume a 1D, 10D, D30 or D60 ?

Did you process the pictures in RAW format ? with PhotoShop CS as this should have been able to overcome you over/under exposure ?

I have a 10D and a 100-400 Zoom.

I lent the camera to a mate who fiddled. I did not notice he had forced the exposure down until it was too late. I also did not store as RAW and so correction was limited. I think the ones I have recovered are ok, but lack the clarity they would normally, some are still dark.

It's always a challange to take these sort of close shots from a bobbing RIB!! I am please you like them.
