Or do a slide show on youtube with your voice telling the story? I can help if you need it?

But then again I know it's tough so no pressure dude It's perfect as it is

You're quite right; it's not, but our community is all the richer for it and like many others on here, I look forward to your postings immensely.

Your ability to capture emotion and paint wonderful, evocative, pictures with words is a rare talent; I thank you for sharing it with us and join with the others in offering sincere condolences to you at this time.

Many thanks again guys for all the kind comments. It is appreciated.
I could certainly try doing a SIB adventure video ..but it will be next season as the SIB is now in winter hibernation. A slide show is easy but I couldn’t do a voice over.

Originally a teuchter from the far north .. lived in Glasgow for quite a while..worked in Dublin for a while.. visited the US many times .. I am afraid my accent now sounds like a bad cross between Rickie Fulton, Rab C Nesbitt, Shane MacGowan and Leonard Cohen ... all rolled into one .. It is not a melodic droll.. so would take its toll on your lugs very quickly.

I did try a movie in the summer..of a favourite walk. I took it into hospital to let my old mom see it .. but by this time .. although she could hear the music .. she could no longer see

Link to the video is here..it was just a trial.. as I prefer still photography.

The music is “The Memory of Trees” by Enya.. and was one of my mother’s favourite pieces of music

I hope to get another Gurnard Adventure going soon so watch out for it.

Until then... thanks again.. and may your Higher Power keep you addicted to your boating too

Best wishes..
The Gurnard

So sorry about your mum but the trip is an amazing tribute to her ,,, as well as you
I love the area, even if I am 250 miles away, and have done around Bute on jaunts from Largs to Tarbert - but never really slowly enough to really appreciate the true beauty of the place.
Thanks for sharing - and a really emotional journey
Jeff
