Chewy's SR4 project
Slowly getting there with the SR4, got all the screen and old seats removed. Never really played with cable steering so I destroyed that this morning with a decent size hammer. Everything was rusted anyway!
So the steering removed apart from the cable, throttle is still attached as its all in good working order.
Fitted a couple of trunks for good measure too. glassed the inside of the hole and then sikaflexed em in.
Had the engine running and apart from the starter sticking once its been fine.
Started glassing the console in this afternoon. Have used a layer of 50mm fibreglass tape, then 100mm then 150mm so hopefully it won't be going anyway!
Should be some photos attached.

Think I'll be keeping this one for a while... saying that it'll make a space on my drive for something else!
Joking aside Roy considering I never saw the boat apart from in photos I would happily buy another boat from you blind. The engine runs nice and smooth appears to have been very well looked after.
Will hopefully get it finished next nice home and get out for some fun. Was up and out at half seven this morning finishing the glassing. Mmmm resin!

Finally got it all antifouled, thanks to Nos and Bedajim for the photos of the waterline.
Thankfully both fuel tanks fit in front of the console although what the handling will be like with them there is a different matter!

I know some people don't like RIB's that are anti fouled but I think they look smart.
Looking good mate. BTW I forgot to respond about the boxes. If they where 40cm deep I'd be sorted. Thanks anyway mate

Although the hull had a few chips on the chines the antifouling isn't covering any bodged repairs lol.
Its going to be living in the harbour which dries out each tide.
I quite like the grey and orange although trying to get a tin of grey antifoul in a small tin was a pain!

I found mine was more stable with 30l of fuel forward of the console as well as the usual 50l in the console.

So it should be ok with the two tanks just in front of the console?
