The Cardigan weekend was two days of blazing sunshine with a fresh F3/4 wind. Perfick.

Here's Jahno and Meme just off St Patricks causeway.

Phil and family in the hardboat, Meme in the Zodiac. This man is a serious cruising companion being equipped with everything but the kitchen sink. We were chilling out on a raft up when he dished out Baileys laced coffee and cigars. Top man.

Ian and Debs mooching about showing off the fact that they can now steer their boat to every point of the compass unlike Conwy where he could only go straight on or left.

This was where Horse insisted we raft up for a discussion on RCD and CE marks. We were there for three hours. That's Horses long suffering other 'alf in the foreground. Sue, a lovely redhead. No hair, just a red head.

Looks like you had a great time out, shame I couldn't make it. Lovely weather for it.

Nearest I got to being out on the water was when a couple of gypsy kids nearly pushed me, my mate and our mountain bikes into the canal on friday night.

David, Great Pictures - I'm now debating over GPS, Fishfinder or Digital Camera. Yes, what a wonderful weekend thanks to all the boys (girls included). For anyone considering whether joining a cruise is "fun or not" let me assure you it's fun - fun - fun. Furthermore, David, Ian, Jono and John really know their stuff, safe, experienced, considerate and out for a good time. Count me in for the next jaunt.

So what's the difference between MeMe's Medline and my Yachtline Cadet 500?

Are your tubes glued on, or are they removeable?

Anyone know anything about these?

I mused over a Cadet 500 a little while back. It was advertised on boats&outboards.com (great buy sell site by the way) at £7750 on a '99 plate with a 75 on the tail. It sold within a week or so for the full asking.

Although I can't speak for the 500 which, looks a sleeker faster rib than the Med, mine has removable tubes. Like the 500 she's equiped with - dare I say it - a sun deck and a picnic table. Further, I believe she has the same deep'v hull with a slightly different transom set up, yet both boats are no longer in production. The Medline II and Med III have superseded us both !

Well if anyone wants mine, it's available.

The only problem I have is that it's in the IoM and despite advertising it for several weeks I've had a few 'tube kickers' but no-one who wants it.

If I advertise on Boatsandoutboards, the first question is 'how can we view it?

I'll have to think on this.

In my opinion which, I've formed over many years in sales, I believe people are willing to travel if its for the right thing. May I suggest you advertise on B&O which, I've found a wonderful site for selling.

My last RIB went via B&O to a guy in London who drove to Abersoch to pick it up having paid £500 deposit without even setting eyes on her. Thats a 14 hour round trip!!!

It's all in how you sell it ! If you put 2 lines of blerb about size, engine and trailer you're not going to stimulate anyone however, fill a sheet of A4 telling a story about the boat and you'll make the phone ring.

I've just placed an ad on B&O for my Medline, take a look at that for some ideas. Further, I'd go as far as to advise the buyer that if they're keen and make a credible offer, you'll knock the price of their ferry ticket of the asking price (inflated of course to cover this). With this in mind you're rib has to be immaculate ! What you also have to bare in mind is that, there's not a lot of RIBs for sale like yours, yes plenty of dive type ribs but not many with the Delux advantages that some folks are after. Good Luck.
