Boats I nearly bought

Well in order to try and spice up the gallery pages I thought I'd post some pictures of my rib shopping exploits. I didn't buy all of them, some didn't even return calls when I offerred asking price and some I walked away from laughing to myself that they we asking money for a shed!!

Here goes;

1) Ballistic 8.1 with a 225 Optimax
2) Ocean 6.5 with a 225 Optimax - nearly 900hrs mind you!
3) Ribtec 585 with a 90hp Honda - way under powered!
4) Delta 5.5m with a 225hp Suzuki - Hello! (Went to see this one at a fire station!!)
5) 6.5m Delta with a 225 Merc. Saw this in Portsmouth and it was a wreck!

It lived on the Thames Barrier but it was brought to Sunbury on Thames.

My friend ended up buying it.

"Deep six too"?

Is that the Ocean owned by Dover Sea School CJL?

Has it been for sale recently?

Heres a few I very nearly purchased:
1: Tohatsu thing. Pete7 bought it in the end
2: Pac 22 from Babcocks
3: Prosport thing in Gosport.
4: Can't even remember what that was. Was a total wreck though! Edit: A Cobra, as per photo!
5: Moment of madness

2: Nice Ribtec 585 (was owned by someone on here). Was really tempted to buy it so I had a matching pair, then sence hit home
3: Think this was a Ferryman, up in Scotland.

Like the look of the Ferryman, not seen one before.

And I'd have brought the 'moment of madness'.

4) Delta 5.5m with a 225hp Suzuki - Hello! (Went to see this one at a fire station!!)

I looked at this in Ireland this year, re-powered with a Mariner 150 opti.
Someone did well, think it went for around 10k euro in the end.

Total money pit that boat.

Plus there was a ahem "discrepancy" between the vendors engine hours and the last place that serviced them.
