Brill photo, was it taken from another rib? How did the photographer manage to hang on and shoot at the same time?

The photographer specialises in watersport photos and seems to be very good at driving, hanging on and snapping at the same time. Don't know if it is skill, luck or determination not to get the camera equipment wet!

Yesterday I travelled through the same patch of water and with a bit of wind against tide, the swell was enormous... hopefully now the September swells have arrived I should get some more photos like this...and of course I will share them here!
