We'll sort out one or two as well but what has anyone else got?

The Round the Island Race was memorable for the lack of wind... Some good photo opportunities though.

I and María Erla went boating in freezing winter day last November, great time.

Then boating trip to the westfjords, this kind of conditions we expect to have on our ride from Scotland to Iceland via Fareo Islands in July, 2006

MAIB still in investigation phase. Then it goes into a consultion phase. Then they publish the report. As you are aware they have only just published the Loch Lomond report from March so I think the Big Yellow incident will have another 4 months or so at least. Bearing in mind that determining the cause of structural failure might require considerable reasearch/investigation/experimentation it could be longer.

For me this year, it was the fact that I decided to stop doing courses for a year and do as much boating as possible. 90% of the time the conditions were just great.

The funniest thing was trying to moor at spark marina one day, I was try to moor up and made a complete mess of it, even the missus was pissing herself – but you live and learn

Two pictures one setting off to the needles and one at the needles, what a great day

Also thanks for all the advice, a truly great group of people. Special thanks to codders for keeping me entertained

Next year back to some training - must find the books

My best memory for the year has been the first cruise I went on a few weeks ago having brought my boat down to Portsmouth. We had such a great time. Looking forward to many more next year!
