mariner 40 hp

tim
when i looked at the dealer were i got my boat he had four 40hp mariners
for sale for about the same money as you paid all ex rnli from barrus contracts
most engines go to maidstone for refurb and are the sold to dealers. they are very good and very low hours most have tiler control but you can get a kit to
change to remotes i did not go for one due to the cost to make it key start
would be to high can live with out power trim but a lawmower on the back of my new boat just would not do

That's where I was lucky; my Mariner is unusual for an ex RNLI as it has power trim, and does not have a tiller (although it might have once had). It's on remotes with electric start etc.

I havn't been out with it yet, although I plan a little trip on Monday. The guy demonstraighted it to us and it runs pretty sweetly! What speeds do you get with yours; our set-ups are pretty similar.
