Amazing rib at Dusseldorf boat show

This rib made by DSG/Ficht in Germany is used by the firemen to rescue people living along the (frozen) lakes: where a boat or a snowmobile can not go, this rib always will ...

The FIB is still available from LOMAC and currently sold in Belgium. It costs around 16000€ with the Rotax 503 engine, 18000€ with the Rotax 582.

( yes, I am also an ultralight pilot ! )

If the lake is frozen, how does the rib get along? Does it slide over the ice?

Here are some more pics I have received from Ficht (Germany). From the loooooooooong movie also supplied on the cd, one can see that that boat actually is no rib but a simple inflatable with an alloy skid plate ( all flat ! ). For fresh water only !
