Alderney today

Well after a Force 8 last night, this is what we found on the beach this morning.
That phrase springs to mind "Now I don't really think you meant to do that, did you?"

Ouch...that looks royally fooked. Is it just me or is the keel on the piss too?

Yup looks that way, that does not look good, but I am sure repairable. Are they floating her off tonight

Yup "floated" her off at high tide. Well, there was a fishing boat pulling on a long line. For the first 10 yards or so it went out to sea on its side with a hell of a grounching noise. Then it bobbed upright and got towed into the dockside. Huge cheer and honking of car horns as le tout Alderney was watching. It then got lifted out by a crane. Big holes in the side let in loads of water. Looked very expensive to me.

We crossed the Channel that afternoon.

Fast Ferry just lurched along while everyone was best mates with their sickbags. Had to help one poor lady off at Cherbourg on a wheelchair...

Looks like a Sadler to me, maybe a 29, good solid yachts should be repairable, glad its not my boat on the rocks though!

Good guess yes its a Sadler 34 me thinks. ya repairable im sure.
