Yes, this is Fort Clonque.
It is joined to the "mainland" by a causeway built by the Germans during the war.
It can be covered at high tide, which makes coming back from an evening in the pub interesting-especialy as there are no street lights (indeed, there are no streets-just an unmade, mud "way") and its a long way from any other building.
Of course, in the summer, the mud dries. Ha Ha.
