Airborne BWM

We were out trying to get some stock shots of our RIB for our own use and got a few cool ones which I thought I'd share.

Yup! we're based in Hamble so the majority of our work is around the Solent area and we did cover the NHS Regatta. Were you there? I remember 2 other RIBs...

I particularly like those as well. The wind caught the boat during one of them and blew it sideways which got the adrenaline going

The landing was alright, it was the being blown sideways that was a little hair raising.

I tried, but she was having none of it. I had to settle for depositing her on another RIB, however she was exceptional at getting some great shots. She's good like that.

I remember that RIB. Nice one. Are you out this weekend for the Around the island race?

Bajan, when you next down the Solent? We should start up a BWM owners club or something.

Great shots of your RIB, what do you think of the handling of you 6.5m?

Andy

I'm down every weekend and occasionally during the week. I didn't think there were that many BWMs + owners around, are there?

Thanks for the comments on the pics.

I like the handling of the BWM. I don't have much to compare it to as I only drove 2 other RIBs apart from this one. One was a Tohatsu 6M which should have been an airplane as we were constantly bouncing out of the water. Not ideal for our purposes. Comparing it to the Tohatsu, it wins hands down just for stability. I'm sure the extra .5M helps as well.

I'm also quite happy with 34.5 KTS(GPS) with such a small engine for the size.

What about you? What do you think about the handling?
