A great place for RIBs and SIBs

Here is the village in Scotland where my house is. What a great location for a RIB or SIB.

Certainly looks nice. And here I am stuck in sunny, attractive Oldham...

Here is a close up. Just look how close we are to the slipway. There is another at the small harbour a bit further along, and one for trailers at Balintore a mile away.

SIB heaven.

Matt have you got it yet?

No I haven't got it yet! Haven't found one in my budget. Had found one on a site for a hundred quid, but it had already been sold.

As for having a house right by the sea in a nice little place for boating, all I can say is "lucky *******"

What is the name of the village?
If you would like to share the postcode as well we can look it up on Multimap and plan our route there for the 2003 SIBFest.
Bet you don't get THE MIDGES either?

Not mine Brian. It belongs to someone who owns a twin 2s engined RIB!! They use it as a refueling depot.

It is great to go out amongst the rigs parked up in the Firth. I can see the crews looking down at us thinking we are from Greenpeace or something. You are best staying out of hose pipe range!

True Brian. East coast you see.

Ha yes, just found this piccy.

This is my mate Ian (from Orkney) he was visiting us in October. Here we are at Balintore harbour. Ian is trying out his best George Clooney Perfect Storm impression. Well I think he got the boat part okay, but he's a long way behind me in the lookalike stakes!

Brian

It's Hilton of Cadboll, here is the multimap reference.

This will be the base for the SIB Orkney Expedition 2003. All welcome. See separate thread.
