a DAY OUT WITH ENALIOS

Weather had been horible all week blowing force 8-10 every day. Today after 7 days winds dropped and Enalios decided to join us on a little trip.

Enjoy. We did. Temperatures 35 C and flat (on the way back) seas

Could you ever immagine a FALCON next to a SCORPION.
On the way there the seas were quite strong (left over from the previous 7 day strong winds) with waves reaching 1.5 mtrs at times. We were doing between 22-28 knots on the GPS and it was quite a banging on both boats. Unfotunately it was quite difficult to get any photos.

On the way back sea was a bit choppy between the streights with 1 mtr waves. Passed that and it was flat calm! Speeds up to 54 knots on the FALCON to show off. Pitty Enalios didn't get any photos. However here is Enalios at 30 and 25 knots respectively going strong

Cheers Nick.
Yes thanks RIB shorted but not thanks to FALCON. They left me high and dry.
But what goes round comes round. So sometime, someday, somewhere .........

Good weather after the storm then, Manos. I guess that Enalios' Scorpion is actually built by Ribco?

Mr Beeny I'm affraid that you will find some Greeks that I know don't like you very much. Now who's the s@#$ bag we both know very well and possibly a lot of others!! ............... should I start spelling the beans??? or you will appologise in public? You've got 48 hours as of now

AND FINALLY this is the 700RSR just a 2 year old boat. After a hard ride yesterday with the Scorpion these things came off it and we never hit a wood or anything like that.
What was it? Bubbles in the jell coat Mr Beeny!!
Anything to say about that Mr Beeny??

Yes I think so Richard. Is a lush boat. Sun deck forward and aft, huge nicely padded seats with good quality covers and lush padding where the plastic covers do not rip in the corners and do not come off and many many pluse points, also a radio tape recorder that does not come off when you bang on waves and works all the time and a GPS that itss base does not unscrew. I'm putting safety srews on mine as it didn't have any on!! I am very impressed with the quality of the 8 mtr Scorion boat. Finish and built and the amount of space (deck and storage) that is got on it. For an 8 mtr boat the space is huge. You can store tonnes of things. Is a very nice boat. Why are they so expenssive!!

bimini

manos,
noticed the Bimini on the Scorpion. Is the leg base attached straight onto the tube?
Looking at fitting my new Xs-rib with some kind of shade, but though I had to go with T top as hadn't seen any tube mounts for Bimini's
Was this available through dealers or custom made?
cheers Dal
