Very interesting, thanks.

Out of interest, what sort of cost would our dive club be looking at for a fairly 'bare' 5m humber with console, single jockey seet and mid-range engine plus trailer?

Thanks,

Orve.

We use a whip antenna they have a simple plastic nut that clamps the antenna to the A Frame, how is the engine now?

Got the raider whip one with the L shaped bracket but that won't do, I think i'll do the same as ye bolt to top of A-Frame.

Haven't been out on the water since. As you may have seen from some posts must see if i was doing something wrong or if i have a slight problem with the trim.
You may know? I Started off trim out(Incorrect i know) but when i got up revs say past 2000 the engine trimed in towards transom itself, this happened twice.
Is this a safety feature or what? someone told me with the opti's if the engine is trimed out too much it will drop back in once you go past 200revs.
On land i check the release valve for the trim, checked the trim fluid. Leaned down on the engine and it didn't drop. With key turned on pushed throttle ahead to see if a faulty trim switch. All these checks were ok. Any ideas or is it just because i started off with trim out and when i increased revs to get up on plane it trimed in?
Maybe its nothing , so must get out this week, try and trim out a little when up on plane and see what happens.

Its probably your PTT pump, is your manual release tight in? Destroyers love trim.

Optis will only let you trim so far up at speed, but still lets you have plenty.

Ye manual release seems to be tight in, will have another look tomorrow.
How is this checked? will i open it or what?
Do you think the PTT pump may be bad and if so how i know? Is it a big /expensive job to replace the PTT pump if thats whats wrong?

If something is wrong should it not leak, engine drop when lean on down it or even drop slowly over a few weeks when in the garden

Hi

Trim it half up with the engine not running and stand on the skeg, if it drops/lowers their is somthing wrong with the pump.

Have you checked the fluid level in the pump?

As the boat been left on the water for a long time?

Is there any corrosion around the pump?

Jono
