I don't think landy's have got Power steering yet. the two pedals would they be attached to a crank and a chain for peddling when the engine gives up?

You can get a discovery in Auto but not a defender although i am sure they would make one for you if you could afford it there are a few around that have been converted. And for the few people around that dont keep up with the times, they do have power steering, and a very high tech 5Cyl engine...in fact.......wait for it.......the latest model even has electric windows and central locking

Discovery with Auto box

I have the disco with auto box. Wasn't sure how it would tow the Pacifc 22 but needn't have worried. 3 tonnes of boat and trailer up the gravel slip at Haslar without any hassle and single handed. Low ratio and the auto box means its very easy to apply drive without breaking the traction.

One of my better buys.

Pete

Yemen

I do a lot of business in The Yemen (Houdeida) and have been wanting to travel there for many years, however, the CFO strongly advise against it. I notice in your picture an armed vehicle !

Please advise why that is and how you found travelling, is it safe for Westeners ? And - why were you there ?

Would love to hear more.

Graeme.

Got it....

and thanks, sounds like you had a fantastic experience, however, not one I'd fancy, after all I'm only selling perfume. Once again, thanks. G.
