I will update this during the finishing it is going in a boat show in less than a week. tube go on tomorrow. rigging is almost finished.

Well done eksrae. It looks a nice build. A wee bit of info please - are you attaching the tubes by clamping to a flange? Are you using tig welding throughout? Do you ever have a problem with long term paint adhesion on the alloy?

Thats a nice Rib eskrae,Theres a lot of competition out there and it looks the buisness.

Looks like we will see you in Seattle in Sept if not before.

I cant work out the Radar make?

What Hull thickness,and when are you doing one for yourself.
Thats what I say a good workshop should look like.

Are you using 5086 and 6061.

the hull and chine plates are 5/16 and the main transom is 5/16 and the engine bracket is 1/2. the hull is 22deg at transom with a delta keel. it is approx 8'8" wide at transom. the reason for the jack plates is because it will be operated in shallow waters more often than not. it is for a coast guard auxilliary unit.

the alloy on the hull is 5086
the decks and bulkheads are 5052
all extrusion is 6061

the hull is 100% welded with mig and the grab rails and other more decorative items are tig' d on

the radar is a raytheon with a chartplotter.
as for paint problems, we powder coat the console wich will last a couple of years and is pretty cheap. it is all on how much prep work and how much want to spend. sand blasting primering and than painting seems to be the best way. the paint and primer need to go on quite thick.

the boat is pretty much done except for a few minor details. really happy with the way it turned out. the jockey seats behind the console workd out well.

the tubes were made by polaris all the rest of the work was done in house
