A little footage me running alongside my mate's dory yesterday....

Nice quality video, what were you using?

As an aside, were you perhaps travelling at just a little above the the limit for that part of the Solent? Be careful it is not viewed by those who enforce this .....

We saw that liner at about 7ish as we headed home.

Did you catch anything?

that's the u tube version the original is better. Not sure what we used it's my mates camera.

Honestly, that's 6 knots, deceptively calm! went past the harbour master, he didn't bat an eyelid.

I haven't caught a flounder in years, they don't seem to be in the number they once used to be.

We went out the Forts and caught 30ish Mackerel in 20 mins...It was unbelievable, the water was boiling with em all over. Must have been 6 or 7 shoals on the surface at one point. When we first anchored off of Calshot we filleted one for bait it was full of whitebait or similar.

After moving to a bit more shelter off of Wooton, we turned to Crab and ended up with 4 Smoothhounds with the largest, that I boated of about 6/7Ib. All where returned safely to the Sea to fight another day.

When I get around to it, I'll upload a photo from my phone and post it. It gave me quite a nasty injury to my fore arm by sanding off my skin with it's tail.

Dory story

Bet you'd be the one grinning with a bit more of a sea running!Nice footage though,dont see the Solent that calm very often.
