WANTED - Typhoon Drysuit

Hello All

PeterR pointed RIBNET out to me last week and I've been stuck to the screen since

I am looking to get a Typhoon drysuit before the season starts and have been quoted £650 - £700 for the 'Rescue and Response' suit, just wondered if there was anybody who might stock one for a better price? Or if anyone wants to sell one I would consider buying second hand if right size, condition and price? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

This is the suit - http://www.typhoon-int.co.uk/pages/a...s/detail/id=80

All the best
Jon

No idea on where you can the Typhoon cheaper, but have you thought of getting Ravenspring to quote for the equivalent? I've found them quite helpful in the past when dealing with them direct.

Hi Jon, welcome, I dont have the answer for you about this suit but again another option well supported by emergency services are these guys
http://www.polarbearsq.com/front.asp?cat=Inshore+Rescue
They supply tough gear and good service so maybe worth a second look if price on yours is high

I was speaking to Typhoon at the end of last year and they told me that suit is only made to order.

I am a dealer for Typhoon. That particular suit is made to order so you would have to wait a bit.
Why not go for the WOSS suit which are always in stock only boots have to be fitted
see http://www.typhoon-int.co.uk/pages/c...l/detail/id=76

I use a Polar Bear and get on great with it - have a look at their (rescue) suits, a MTM would come in cheaper than the Typhoon and you have the advantage that they are made in the UK.

Thanks for your suggestion Andre, I have seen the WOSS suit and I think a couple of my collegues use them, but I don't like the boots - I was told that they were the only boots that could be fit to that suit...? I will certainly have another check on e-bay and will look at Polar Bears website so thanks very much for all the help, much appreciated!!
