Wanted Stainless Jocket Seat Extension

Any one know where a can get a stainless frame that I saw on an Osprey that added another seat to the console?

It was bolted on and screwed into the deck, where can you buy these or get one made at reasonble cost?

Has anyone go one for sale?

Chris

The photo looks like the Mk 1 version, the Mk 2 had a slightly different design which allowed the seat to be lifted off and then the frame formed a 4 cylinder bottle rack.

Stainless Steel is now getting seriously expensive, but do a drawing and have a chat with a local Stainless fabricator. There are a couple in Fareham but perhaps a little too far from you. The alternative which Ospreyd did was to use thick walled Ali tube whcih was then sprayed with 2 pack. Paint finish was good for about 5 years so might be more cost effective than having it made from S/S.

The one thing that it will need though is the rear frame screwing and glassing to the deck preferably with Expoxy resin and cloth (not CSM) to get a really good bond to the GRP deck. You don't want that breaking free

Its only a small boat so......

Thanks for you comments.

I have considered a few other options but its a only a small boat, we just want one more seat, but it msut be quite small. Most even single GRP bases seem a bit to big? Anyone do a small one?

I dont want to change whole console.

I will contact osprey and see if they do the alloy one.

Thanks for you help.

I could do somthing like this but my console is not a simple shape its very sculpted.

I will make a mock up in card and see what I can do.
