Wanted - Jockey Console.

I have just bought a 5M Avon ex-diving boat which I am trying to convert into a "silk purse"!! Can anyone advice where I can get a good " used" or a reasonably priced Jockey Console (2 person) and a bench seat with hinged back rest. I live in Dublin but will travel if price is right.

Gary.

Try

www.outhill.com

This will give you plenty of ideas but I'm afraid nothing is cheap, I too am looking for some further console seating and bearing in mind they can be as much as 300 to 400 quid I am seriously thinking of knocking something up myself

hmm, visited a Yahama and Honda dealer in Pembroke (Neyland side) a couple of years ago. He was making consoles for Narwal I think, under contract. Offered to make me an ordinary console for £160. Think he was called victoria yachts or something similar. Might be worth a few phone calls. Had a good workshop and very much a family business with a "can do" outlook on life.

I did a lot of research as part of an A-level design course...an made my own console out of Plywood. It was very substantial and had all the extra features on it that I wanted... sold it for £250 when finished...Building your own can work out cheaper and the quality of build can actually be better...Still have the designs...

Gary

try Fairweather marine in Fareham Hants, should have a website to search, I was speaking to him the other day and they can supply double jockey seats at a reasonable price, they were also willing to sell fibreglass on its own allowing you to do the finishing
