Hi im new to this forum ive just purchased a zodiac pro 7 , im looking for a second hand engine to use with it , the boats already got a console and steering wheel so just need an engine and throttle steering controls . There are a few at Billingham marine 40- 50 hp at around £1800 that seem reasonable . if anyone is thinking about selling please let me know

RIBase
I used to have the same boat. Early Pros had a different transom and were standard shaft. 2004> models were all long shaft. Although rated for 50hp, a decent 2-stroke 40hp is more than adequate. I had a mint 2-stroke, 3 cylinder Yammie, manual start, and trim, and it never missed a beat. Spend two years searching for a 50hp model, but it was fruitless. Trouble with 2-stroke Yammies, is that every man and his dog is looking for the same engine. The ones that do come on the market are sometimes ex-commercial engines, well-used, having spent 1000s of hours pushing a semi-displacement dory. Good luck.
