Tohatsu 8hp

Hi

I have a year 2000 Tohatsu 8hp 2 stroke, and at some point I am looking to trade it for something between 10 and 15hp. Obviously I will add cash to my side of the deal.

I want something to push our 3.2 a little fast with two adults and two kids... as the 8hp struggles to get it on the plane.

Anything considered.

Thanks

Ben

More than your tohatsu that's for sure!!!

It's the same model and weight as the 9.9hp though so I'd guess it to be around 32 kgs.

Great engines .. had the 8 (same as the 10) and I think they did a 10GT which was close to a 15HP.

I'd snap it up - rare to find nowadays and nice details like the rubber blocks on the back so you can lay it down without scratching it ...

You say its the same as a 10, but I checked with a tohatsu dealer today and the crank case part numbers are different. I wanted to see if I could do some swapping and changing and get up to a 10hp without the need to replace the engine.

I agree, attention to detail is good, rubber blocks work well, is easy to carry too
