Does it have any warranty left on it? Completely unused?

Literally opened the box to check it was all ok when it arrived, not touched it since. Presumably there will be warranty on it, bought it about 6 months ago.

Standard Horizon GX1600e - BNIB £100

I'm going for the standard horizon 2200e for my boat. Has built in AIS and GPS with the use of one ariel. Stand alone bit of kit. I'm also going for a Raymarine A77. No need for any ariels at all. Good kit and a simple installation

You won't be disappointed with the Raymarine A77 - as you know, I've got the A68, and Its a good bit of kit with the same operating system.

Good thing too. I don't think the S-H will talk to the A77. I could be wrong though - I often am

I looked at the SH-GX1700e but it was only NMEA 0183, and the A68 is only N2K. I went with a Lowrance Link 8 radio (also with AIS) for that reason. Raymarine A9x and A12x have both NMEA 0183 & 2000 but the A77 only has N2K.

Both correct I'm not interested in having these two talking to each other although I think there is a box for the A77 that will listen to the older nmea

There is a Raymarine SeatalkNG to NMEA 0183 conversion kit available for around £40-50 I think. But as you're going stand alone I'm sure there are much better things to spend that money on! Can't wait to see any updated project pics Biffer!

I fitted the Lowrance Link 8 and then a Raymarine SeatalkNG (STNG) network so it could talk to my A68 - surprisingly it was cheaper to fit the STNG backbone kit and use a STNG to N2K convertor lead than it was the other way round! And if I need to extend the network the STNG components and any STNG/N2K adapter leads are all the same price as the equivalent N2K components.
