New cover on, supplied by Panda covers at 68 (Shanghai special ). Really surprised it actually turned up ! Sadly couldn't wait for the out of stock Duckbacks to become available. Not a bad fit, just a few inches short at the aft end of the tubes but I'm hoping to catch this once I remove the old electronic fittings on top of the A frame which are redundant anyway. It'll do for this winter.

Cheers, pleasantly surprised !

Also fitted a bung to her. Now kinda kicking myself, because after drilling a hole below the waterline, next to no water came out of her (a small trickle of dirty old condensation, that was it). At least now I know she's empty ! After 20 yrs I think that's pretty damn good. And reassuring. Testament to Ospreys build quality I guess. And / or an easy life !!!

My last ducks back was a really nice quality blue.

I recommended then to someone recently and it seams an inferior silvery-grey. Like you say the medium out Of stock too

Anyone else aware of a change ?

I bought one a few weeks ago and it was the silver grey (my existing cover got shredded in 60 kts winds) . Time will tell how robust the new style ducksback is.

It's the single ram, 2 wire unit. It's currently with David Anderson Marine (Davie on here ?) who I hope will work some magic. The ram, which seemed to be working ok previous, now just doesn't have enough power to trim up. My untrained eye sees the motor working, no external oil leaks and a ram in good condition. Tried purging air out, etc. but no joy, hence my trip (to Newport on Tay) to see Davie. Hopefully I'll hear back from him soon. Thanks for the heads up regarding possible spares, always good to know.
