Need a new lorry - HELP!

Well not actually new - more used really!

Looking for a flatbed or artic unit with a crane on it suitable for launching the raceboat - 2 tonne at full stretch would be fine!

It never ceases to amaze me at what you lot know about so I thought I would ask the question.

Already searched the net and there isn't a lot out there - a lot more on the continent but I don't want a left hooker if I can help it.

Thanks everyone,

try these - http://www.witham-sv.com/index.html - loads of ex army stuff - you could even buy a tank!

How about a bedford recovery crane with a big trailer behind it - mobile cranes have some interesting tax breaks!

Look in the trucks section at the various links - some have cranes fitted - ie bedford tm 16ton with 4ton crane for 10K

Remember they are definietly up for a haggle!!!

Thanks - sadly not much use unless we cut the boat in half for transport! Lots of interesting stuff on there - including snow clearing equipment and armoured vehicles!

Nah, it doesn't work like that. You put in a bid which they forward to the MOD. If the MOD accept it, it's yours and you need to pay, or give a deposit, promptly to secure it. If you should change your mind after acceptance, you loose the deposit.

I visit the commercial Auction at BCA Manchester on a fairly regular basis. Plenty of flat beds with hiab's going through. With prices from £2k - £6k. You can view on line what is coming up each week around the country on the British Car Auctions website.

Thanks for that TAG - couple of possibilities there - might mean a trip to Wales though!
