Mariner 40hp Ex-RNLI outboard

We took this standard shaft Mariner outboard off our boat before the winter and it's been sitting in my garage until now.

It's a good starter and it great on fuel - but it just wasn't the right engine for the boat. We spoke to the 2 previous owners of the engine (both members of the same boat club) and it was them that told us it was bought off the RNLI.

It's electric or manual start and we're not including the controls with this engine.

The engine comes with a little bit of service history - but we hope you can tell by the pics and video it has been well looked after.

I've also got it listed here:

You can see video of the engine running here:

Hi Driscos.....just to let you know that if it is Ex RNLI (and it hasn't been changed) it will have a mid length shaft....neither short /standard at 15 inches or Long at 20 inches.....IIRC it's 17.5 inches....they were used on the EA16 D Class. We have one for our D Class, good engine....Yours has been upgraded to electric start post it's service days too
