I have been considering the HDS-7m gen2 Redcar Electronics (which was in Basildon but moved to Cornwall but still uses the Redcar phone code??) seems cheaper than PRS.

I am sure I have asked this before but here goes. I fancy the HDS-7m chartplotter. But my existing ICOM VHF needs a NMEA input. I would also like to add a AIS B Transciver.

Has anyone got any experience of multiple NMEA. Can the AIS be wired for input only on the chartplotter. That would mean out to radio and in from AIS.

Anyone got any experience of this. I don't want to start ordering stuff and find out it is not compatible.
