ICOM Battery wanted

All

I need the help of the massive.

I'm trying to source a battery for an ICOM M15E. It's a great radio, so much better than the m33 I also have.

So if any one has a battery kicking about, or knows where I can get one please do let me know.

Ta muchly

seem to remeber the CM138 and 139 (batteries for that model) were discontinude a few years back. You will be lucky to find them now. Shame because as you say a great radio and built like a brick out house!

Spoke to ICOM - they are discontinued

However I have found a company that will - re furbish the battery. I'll post the link when I fire up the work machine.

Hope it works, it's a better set than my m33.

I have been told that old seemly kanckered nicad batteries can be rejuvenated by either freezing/cooling them or blasting DC power thru the terminals, both of these methods properly split up the two metals and charging can resume as normal!!

I have to say i have never tried these methods and would be dubious of doing either without further investigation, has anyone else heard of these ideas?
