Garmin 551, 620 or 750.

If anyone can beat 400 for a new 551 & 700 for a 750 i'd be interested or second hand. Thanks

I am hearing some people are having grief with updating the charts. E.g. they buy a new product and the charts are already a year old and they have to pay to get updates. Also it advised you have the SD card for this which again is extra.

I can't find any info on this on the Garmin site where you have to update from apparently and the local chandlers who sell them don't know how you get updates

Anyone know what the procedure is?

i bought the garmin 750 with pre-loaded maps & had no problems at all

You can go on the garmin website to update your unit it won't cost you anything if you give garmin a call they will talk you though it 08708501242 what unit do you have ?

I am looking for a 551,620 or 750. I don't want to spend more than 500 so the 750 will have to be secondhand!
