Flare box holders

Hi All,

I need to buy or get advice on building techniques for 2 x Flare box holders to hold the larger 21 litre, 44cm H x 24cm W - flare dryboxes.

If someone has a pair I can buy, state your price.

If someone can build me a pair, show me a previous pair and state your price.

If someone can show me their self build alternatives, I'd be very grateful.

Cheers Stevie

Don't discount pelicases / hardigg cases too. Waterproof and very robust.

I have a pair here for that size flare box. They came on my Ribcraft.

I'll be replacing them soon as they are total rubbish.

They are made out of 2/3mm stainless steel plate and only secured to a frame with 2 x 8mm stainless steel bolts. The weight of the flare boxes vibrating on the rib has already broken 3 of the welds on the flare box holders.

I can try and get some pics - but if anything its how NOT to make them!

I'm going to ask my mate to knock up a couple of new ones. I'll see if he's interested in making up four rather than 2

@ Trailer Guy - I have the 2 flare boxes already and quite like the A-frame setup that comes with that design. Cheers for the ideas though.

@ Diver 1 - Sure, ask your mate to quote me a pair. We'll see what design and price he comes up with. If needed I'll pm you a photo of the A-frame with dimensions.

Regards Stevie

Does seem strange that since every rib has need for one or two stainless steel flare box holders, that they aren't more easily available.

Where did everyone get theirs?
