Good luck finding a suitable solution then. I think the d-type may be the way to go for you as it will fit into the "V" of the bow nicely and I've heard rubber car mats to be a good lining.

My locker is a decent size - it's just the hatch that's small. I think I'd have to take the boat to the shop, take the anchor outside and try it for size before buying..........

the topic of my anchor storage has been discussed on here in the past - link is here if you want a read -> Anchor Storage

The plan is to get the anchor first then get the bracket made up that will bolt to my bulkhead (just like Nasher) and hold it in place, and then if I dont have any chain to worry about it cant smash the hull, and then a little bit of matting to finish it all off nicely...

Sounds good to me - there are some good solutions in that thread.

So, just an anchor to find then.

I mainly boat around the Menai straits/Caernarfon bar area, I have a 7.5kgs Bruce anchor with no chain but I have set it up to 'break away' if it gets stuck, (with rope that will snap under extreme force) storage is in a bucket with holes drilled in the bottom for water drainage. The anchor sits on the rope and doesn't bounce around. I have white rope and I have a little bit of orange rope tied at one metre and two metre away from the anchor, this is to let me know anchor is nearly up and to left away from rib. This set up has worked well for me in anything from 6-80 feet of water, including when the tide is moving fast

SteveHall, try this link instead. D-Type - Anchoring/Mooring | Marine Super Store

If you're going for an online deal, it's a bit cheaper than your link. Not sure about PnP though.
