Davit For Sale

Surplus to Requirements:-

Rescue Boat Handling System.D-CRm.13/4.6
by Davit International, Gmbh.

Built to meet Solas Requirements 1974 with amendments 1992.
Full manual and specifications available.

The equipment is a 1.3 tonne SWL 3 phase model, built in 1996 and costing approx £85,000 new. It is 270 degrees rotational and has a stored power facility so it can be re-charged when necessary by generator. The davit is in excellent condition.

It can be operated by one person remotely from within the launch craft. It was acquired by our Marine Organisation some time ago but is now surplus to requirements.

Photographs show the davit in situ although it has now been dismounted and stored in a compound for disposal.

This equipment is ideal for launching and recovering Ribs quickly and efficiently and could be mounted on shore or afloat.

£5,500 buyer uplifts - may negotiate.

More photos and information available.

Hi,

This is just to let people know that this piece of equipment does not have an automatic line tensioner. The davit is ideally suited for a dockside for remote launching of ribs with up to six persons aboard.

I know our local Yacht Club is looking for a crane to put it's fleet of Squib keelboats in the water.

I have passed the details on - fingers crossed!

Davit for sale

Hi Jon,

Many thanks for your referral, I have contacted the club by e-mail as suggested. Here's hoping we can do business with them - the davit is in pristine condition and it is ideally suited for their purposes.

Regards,

Badger

Jon,

Keeping you posted.....

I contacted the yacht club as requested and sent them all the technical information but unfortunately I havn't heard back from them with a decision. I am assuming they are not interested. Would you be kind enough to make enquiries and let me know?

It's a snip for someone!

Many thanks.

Les

Hi you mentioned that it is SOLAS approved, do you have documentation for that? As I am after a Rescue Boat Davit that needs to be SOLAS approved and the Class approved.
Thanks
Les
