For another £50 , you could get a new icom. Cobra are at the "budget" end of the market & have had mixed fortunes.

I'm a bit puzzled, I assume you mean the HH125 that a guy is selling for that price but if you were happy with Cobra a new one can be had for £54-95... https://www.marinesuperstore.com/mar...All%20Products

Or a much better Standard Horizon for £99.95... https://www.marinesuperstore.com/mar...All%20Products

Over the Cobra the SH floats as well as being submersible compared to the Cobra just being waterproof... and the SH has a 60% greater transmit power.

Then as PD says you can get an Icom for £139.95 which many favour... https://www.marinesuperstore.com/mar...All%20Products

I’d take the SH over the Cobra any day. That SH is a good price[emoji106]

The Standard Horizon HX300E would be my choice too.

To be fair, Cobra do seem to have upped their game a bit recently aren’t aren’t as bad as they used to be, but for the difference in cost I’d get the SH every time. Icoms are good too but are more expensive with little if any gain.

I've owned about half a dozen Cobras over the years. Never had a fault (and one of the one I have just now must be 12 years old).
Two dead Icoms lying in the garage.

SH for me I don’t think icom are worth the extra, seems to be 30% more ish.

Got some old SH 370 awesome radios, the Conra HH125 are great, the HH350 is decent and the 500 with Bluetooth pretty cool

If I was buying an entry radio now HX300 would be top of the list for £99 delivered
